Volontaires has cues reminiscent of Italian frames from the golden era of film, updated with contemporary AHLEM detailing. Hand crafted in France from an 8mm Italian acetate, the lenses are made in France from a recyclable thermoplastic.
The sharp cuts across the brow create a stark contrast to the softer curves around the lenses. A bevelled edge also runs along the brow, complimented by the sculpted shape of the arms as them sweep back over the ears. The custom metal core of the arms are on full display within the lightly smoked grey acetate, secured with AHLEM's signature bauhaus triangle pins and five barrel hinges.
