ASICS and Li Gong's label 8on8 present their latest collaboration, working with the GEL-Kayano 14 to create a unique edition which sits within the label's universe.
Founded in 2017, 8on8 is a result of Li Gong's graduation with honors from the prestigious London design college Central Saint Martins. Since establishing the brand, Gong has been praised for his work by the likes of LVMH, Vogue and BoF—earning the title of a designer to watch. With its Chinese 8on8 presents a contemporary vision of fashion informed by Asian culture.
Crafted in a tonal colourway, the GEL-Kayano's mostly Indigo Blue uppers are cut with hits of metallic pink which sparkle in the light. With a largely singular colour palette, the shoe remains wearable whilst maintaining a unique flair to distinguish it from mainline releases.
